Sodium Sulphate Anhydrous (SSA) – Industrial Grade (Na₂SO₄)

Anhydrous sodium sulphate is a white, odorless, water-soluble inorganic salt used as an industrial raw material in detergents, textile dyeing, glass, pulp and paper, and chemical manufacturing. Product grade, purity, packaging, and technical limits are confirmed according to the required application and supplier specification.

Product description

Sodium Sulphate Anhydrous (SSA) is the water-free form of sodium sulphate, an inorganic sodium salt with the chemical formula Na₂SO₄. It is generally supplied as a free-flowing white crystalline powder or granules and is valued for its chemical stability, water solubility, neutral character, and compatibility with a wide range of industrial formulations. SSA is widely used as a processing material, filler, electrolyte, and source of sodium and sulphate ions. Its principal applications include powder detergents, textile dyeing, glass manufacturing, pulp and paper processing, and the production of other chemical compounds. Commercial specifications may differ according to the production source, grade, and intended application. Parameters such as Na₂SO₄ purity, moisture, chloride, iron, water-insoluble matter, calcium and magnesium content, particle size, and bulk density should therefore be confirmed against the applicable Technical Data Sheet and Certificate of Analysis before supply. العربية

Uses

Powder Detergents
Used as a filler and processing component in powdered detergent formulations. It assists in controlling product concentration, moisture balance, powder consistency, and free-flowing performance.
Textile Dyeing
Used as an electrolyte in textile dyeing processes to support controlled and uniform dye uptake and improve the distribution of dyes across textile fibres.
Glass Manufacturing
Used as a fining and processing agent in glass formulations, helping control the melt and support the removal of entrapped gases during production.
Pulp and Paper
Used in selected pulp and paper processes, including chemical recovery and fibre-processing applications.
Chemical Manufacturing
Used as a source of sodium and sulphate ions and as a raw material or processing aid in the production of selected sodium salts and other chemical compounds.
Other Industrial Formulations
May be used in selected water-treatment, mineral-processing, fertilizer, or other industrial formulations, subject to the required grade and application specification.
